We started Camden Coffee Roastery with something simple in mind: coffee that feels as good as it tastes.
Two friends – Jamal and Smail – both fathers, both dreamers, and both obsessed with coffee, decided Camden deserved a place where beans aren’t just roasted, but celebrated.
What began as late-night conversations over espresso turned into a roastery that now fuels mornings, meetings and moments all across London.

🌍 From farms to your cup
Every bag you see on our shelves has travelled a long way – from lush highlands in Ethiopia, sunny hillsides in Colombia, to volcanic soils in Guatemala. We work directly with trusted farmers who share our values: quality, sustainability and fairness.
Once the beans arrive in Camden, our SCA-certified head roaster carefully roasts them in small batches, balancing science with a little artistry – so every sip tells a story.

After solidifying the concept, the brand officially set its roots and kicked off the roastery journey in earnest.

We opened our flagship café and roastery at Camden Market’s Hawley Wharf – a sensory-rich space where you can explore coffee fully.
Today
A growing community.
We’ve grown beyond roasting: offering subscriptions, retail bags, and immersive campus-style experiences, all while staying true to our passion and community.

We love sharing what we do. That’s why we created Roastery 101 – an experience where you can get behind the scenes, learn how we roast, and discover why coffee is never “just coffee”. Because to us, it’s always been about people as much as beans.
